Our journey began in the late 1990s, amidst the bustling streets of Barcelona’s Tailoring Quarter. The VIA project was born, a multi-layered work akin to the intricate beauty of cement mosaic and terrazzo slabs. It all started when Norbert Kummermehr, a young machine builder and business economist, sought a suitable apartment in Barcelona. Fate brought him together with Almut Lager, a skilled carpenter and interior designer, both sharing a passion for patterned floor tiles. Their paths intertwined, and a family project was set in motion – VIA.
