Aluminium, a modern metal, continues to displace traditional materials across various industrial sectors due to its attractive pricing and exceptional combination of characteristics. Anodising, a unique electro-chemical treatment specific to aluminum, enhances its properties and longevity.

Anodising is not a superficial layer but an integral transformation of the aluminum surface. The thickness of the anodic layer can be controlled, ranging from less than 1 micron for technical applications to 25 microns for exterior building panel protection.

Our anodised aluminum is ideally suited to maritime environments and finds extensive use in the construction market, particularly in building facades, ceilings, walls, and composite panels. Without surface treatment, the material’s finish becomes inconsistent and milky, making coating or anodising essential.

The anodic film layer can be colored through three processes:

1. Electrolytic Coloring: Metallic salts are integrated into the anodic film layer, providing colors that remain vibrant even with prolonged sunlight exposure.
2. Auto-Coloration: Natural anodising of specific aluminum alloys yields gray colors similar to zinc.
3. Organic Dye Coloring: Dyes are introduced into the anodic layer, offering a wide range of colors. While these colors may fade over time, they provide versatility and aesthetic appeal.
